Within the UK the IBU have appointed Phil Blackburn Sensei as Chief instructor of the International Bujutsu University and senior instructor of the Yamaue Aiki Jutsu Association. Phil Blackburn sensei as trained Soke Yamaue for a number a years as one of his personnel students and as a very strong martial arts background and has been involved in the martial arts for around 25 years, starting at a very young age.
First started training at the young age of five years old in Judo Phil was at the same time training in Kempo Karate Jutsu and Ju Jitsu (BJJA / WJJF) Hontai yoshin Ryu. In 1995 Phil Sensei moved to Scotland and started a small for about a year but to the high interest of this new style of martial arts in the area he had to move to bigger premises where his group has flourished with the opening a several other dojo’s in the area. Phil Blackburn sensei acknowledges that over the years that his budo path as been very good to him being able to train directly under some of the best budo master within the UK
